Government GazetteVol. 421, No. 21372, 21 July 2000 GENERAL NOTICE Notice 729 of 2000 PUBLIC NOTICE BY NSB 09, HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICE, OF THE REGISTRATION OF AN SGB FOR INTEGRATED HEALTH PROFESSIONS (THERAPEUTIC AROMATHERAPY, THERAPEUTIC REFLEXOLOGY AND THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE) | NSB 09 hereby registers an SGB for Integrated Health Professions (TherapeuticAromatherapy, Therapeutic Reflexology and Therapeutic Massage). BRIEF OF THE SGB Develop career pathways for the Integrated Health Professions in Therapeutic Aromatherapy, Tharapeutic Reflexology and Therapeuitc Massage from NQF Level 5 to Level 8, which may also develop from those of Hairdressing Cosmetology and Beauty at NQF levels 2 - 4. to enable these professionals to be Registered by the Chiropractors, Homeopaths and Allied Health Service Professions Council [Regulation 24 (1) (e)]. Generate the following unit standards-based qualifications in accordance with authority requirements: - National Certificate in Therapeutic Aromatherapy, Tharapeutic Reflexology or Tharapeutic Massage.
- National Diploma in Therapeutic Aromatherapy, Tharapeutic Reflexology or Tharapeutic Massage.
- National First Degree in Therapeutic Aromatherapy, Tharapeutic Reflexology or Tharapeutic Massage.
- Masters Degree in Therapeutic Aromatherapy, Tharapeutic Reflexology or Tharapeutic Massage.
- Doctoral Degree in Therapeutic Aromatherapy, Tharapeutic Reflexology or Tharapeutic Massage [Regulation 24 (1)(a)].
Recommend the qualification and pathways in 1 and 2 above to NSB 09 [Regulation 24 (1)(c)]. Review and update the proposed and subsequent qualifications and standards in Tharapeutic Aromatherapy, Tharapeutic Reflexology or Tharapeutic Massage as required [Regulation 24 (1)(b)]. Perform such other functions as may from time to time be delegated by NSB 09 (Health Sciences and Social and Services) [Regulation 24 (1)(e)].
